Book Club #2

Thanks for participating in Book Club! Sorry I am posting this a day late!

For those of you who are new readers, Book Club is just introducing you guys to some incredible books that have been especially life changing for me. I post in Book Club on Monday’s (when life doesn’t get in the way), usually every other week (cuz apparently, I don’t have time to finish whole books in a week anymore) and a lot of my inspiration for my posts come from whatever book we are reading that week. Or two weeks. Whatever.

And yes, I said we! I talk about these books because I want you to read them with me! I can’t wait for the day when I have thousands of readers who join me in Book Club! I want to hear how God speaks to you through these books and have lively discussions with you! I know, I’m in a weird mood today.

This weeks book is one that has been nothing if not prophetic to me over the past couple weeks. A 52 week devotional, it’s unlikely that you will want to read it in 2 weeks, but I’m telling you, this book is incredible.

As you read, you truly the hear the gentle voice of the Spirit speaking truth into your life. These devotions are a big part of what has kept me believing as I have been called to step out in faith this month. The author, Brian Simmons, uses scripture from The Passion Translation with prayerful insight as to what he feels God is speaking through that passage. It has been so powerful for me. If you want to see what I mean, check out my Facebook page. I post lots of excerpts from this book there. While you’re there, like my page! I post lot’s of great content there that I believe will be inspiring to you.

Anyway’s, I’m not going to keep babbling on, but if you’re able, add this book to your reading list. You won’t be disappointed!

I hope you enjoy this devotional as much as I have!

  1. Alecia, thank you for following my blog. Every new reader is a compliment and I value that you chose to read my words. Brian Simmons is one of my favorite authors! Although I’ve not read this devotional, I’m sure I’d love it. If you’ve not read Brian’s book, The Sacred Journey, I highly recommend you do. It changed my life, truly! I reread it annually to soak in the truths of Song of Songs. I look forward to reading more of your posts. As I do, I’ll leave comments. Keep writing such meaty posts!

    1. No, thank you! God really spoke to me through your post. I look forward to reading more! I’ve heard so many great things about The Sacred Journey. It’s on my list to read. Now I want to read it even more! Thanks for connecting with me, I appreciate you taking the time to read my posts! God bless! Also, The Passion Translation has a Facebook page where they post excerpts from that devotional, if you want to check it out. I post them pretty often on the FB page for LoveNcourage as well. πŸ™‚ https://www.facebook.com/LoveNcourage-444515405924865/

      1. I’ll do that. So glad we connected. It’s nice meeting another blogger who is also passionate about the Lord. You have to be to like Brian Simmons. Who we read says a lot about our hunger for the things of God.
